The Uttar Pradesh Public Service Commission (UPPSC) is going to hold the Combined State/Upper Subordinate Services Examination (PCS),commonly known as PCS, on October 27, 2024. This exam is particularly important for those candidates who want to secure government jobs and want to work in different departments of Uttar Pradesh.
A total of 220 vacancies will be filled through this competitive examination.Those candidates selected in this exam will have the opportunity to work in different administrative departments of the state.

The application process for the PCS exam was open from January 1 to February 2, 2024. Those candidates who have successfully filled the application form can download their prelims admit card from the official website.Candidates need to carry this admit card on the day of examination.Without the admit card, applicants will not be allowed to sit in the exam.
Selection Procedure For UPPSC PCS 2024
The UPPSC PCS selection process involves three stages.Candidates need to clear all the three stages to qualify for this exam.These steps include :-
- Prelims Exam: This is the first step,where an objective test will be conducted.
- Main Examination: Those candidates who cleared the prelims exam are eligible for this exam.A descriptive test will be conducted.
- Personality Test (Interview): The final stage, where candidates’ performance is checked based on the main exam and the interview.
Exam Schedule For UPPSC PCS Prelims
The preliminary exam will be held on October 27, 2024, at multiple centers across Uttar Pradesh. The exam will be conducted into two sessions on the same day: one in the morning and another in the afternoon. The exam timing and center information will be available on the candidate’s admit card.
UPPSC PCS Exam Type and Pattern
The Preliminary Examination consists of two papers:

Important Points about Exam :
- Total Marks: 400 (only Paper I marks are considered for merit).

- Paper will be conducted in two shifts,,Paper I has 150 questions, and Paper II has 100 questions.
How to Download UPPSC PCS Admit Card 2024
To download your admit card, follow these steps:
- First, candidates must go to the official UPPSC website.
- On the home page of the official website, candidates must look for the “UPPSC PCS Admit Card 2024”.
- After that click on the link and enter your registration number, date of birth, and gender to download the admit card.
- After submitting, your admit card will appear on the screen.Check carefully for any discrepancy before the download.
- Download the admit card and also print a hard copy of it for future usages.
